Our Home Sweet Home in Warrenton

The exterior may not look like much but inside is a whole different story. This is the sweet trailer Mr. T (my wonderful husband and favorite Gaudy Sister employee) bought for us to keep up at Warrenton for the Round Top show. Mr. T is insistent on bringing her home for maintanence so I have decided to spring it on him that he is going to have the pleasure of helping me paint her exterior for the fall show. I am thinking a pearlized white with pink and turquoise racing stripes! Yikes!! Stay tuned and see how she turns out.
This is the sweet interior of our 19' Tracker travel trailer. We redecorated it in true Gaudy Sister style. The walls are gold and most items are vintage (including us!!) It is the sweetest and most comfy trailer ever!!

Here is a sweet pillow that Queen Bee Sherry made for our trailer. It says "And the Gaudy Sisters lived happily everafter. CoCo Bean, too" I am working on my photograpy talents - trying to cure the fuzzy factor!!

CoCo Bean cannot believe it is already time for us to leave Warrenton. We could only stay and shop a few days this time but hope to be selling again in the Fall. We had a blast and enjoyed spending mucho bucks and visiting with all of our friends!! Check back to see all of the goodies we bought for the Urban Market and KT Antiques!!!

19th Century Paper Art

We have acquired 2 very unusual pieces of 19th Century paper art. They are framed pieces that someone lovingly cut out and put together sometime in the late 1800's to early 1900's. This one is of a scene of a bride and her attendents getting ready for a wedding. On the back of each piece is a description of the paper art and the source from which it was taken. The other scene is of a man and women waltzing. It is just as charming and they both are in amazing condition. Come by and see them at the shop. They are incredible!!

Dolls, dolls and more dolls

My sister has always had a thing for dolls. When we were little, she would complain to Mom until I played Barbies with her. My Barbie was always a rebel and she did not want to model new outfits or wait by the phone for Ken to call. My sister's Barbie was always the ultimate fashion diva and did her nails while she was waiting by the phone for Ken to call. Needless to say, my sister has a doll collection of more than 100 dolls and she is always drawn to them when we are shopping for the biz. Here are some of her latest blinged out, gaudy dolls. They range in age from the 1920's to 1960's. Enjoy!! They are currently for sale at the shop, KT Antiques in Old Town Katy.

Upcoming Buying Trips!!

This is Caramel, an awesome cat who adopted me about 16 years ago. He wanted me to tell all of you that the Gaudy Sisters are getting ready to go on a shopping spree for all things wonderful at the Warrenton/Round Top show. The show is coming up this month thru the first weekend in April. We will be staying in our vintage "Ralph Lauren" style trailer and we will be visiting with all of our friends and our favorite vendors. If you have not been to the Warrenton/Round Top show - get yourself over there and see what it is all about. The best time ever. You can google it and check the show dates!! We will also be in Galveston for a few days next week and we always find tons of vintage goodies to bring back home. Stay tuned to see what we find!!
