Racing Stripes on our sweet trailer!!

YeeHaw - we have finally spruced up our sweet Gaudy Sisters travel trailer.  Mr. T (our favorite and only employee!!) spray painted metal flaked silver and metal flaked dark blue jazzy stripes on the sides of our trailer and then he had decals made with the Gaudy Sisters logo  on them.  He powerwashed it first and removed all of the accumulated yuck on it and then painted it.  It still has retained its funky faded look but now it is personilized so we can find our trailer when we have partied too much!!ha
As you can see - he even painted our hubcaps and put sweet  little GS's on each one.  We are so groovy right now it hurts!  He even put a new bumper on her and it is painted the same great metal flaked blue!!  It just glistens in the sun now. Here she is parked back in her favorite spot and ready for the next Warrenton/RoundTop show.  Stay tuned for some shots of the updated interior.  We will be in touch.

Beautiful 19c furniture

This is an amazing 19th century French dresser with mirror.  It has its original mirror and marble top.  The handles are from the 20's but look stunning with the piece.  It has such a European feel to it and would look amazing in your bedroom!

This is a late 1800's to early 1900's grocery store display cabinet.  The original "wavy" glass is still in remarkable shape.  The bottom half of the display was  added later and is made from an old door.  There are shelves on the backside for storage and display as well as shelving in the top half of the piece.  What a statement piece that would look fab in any shop or home to honor your collection of vintage items.  Come by KT Antiques and see both pieces for yourself.  You will not be disappointed!!  Hope to see you at the shop soon.

Vintage tobacco/candy cabinet

What a fab cabinet we have at KT Antiques.  This is a vintage tobacco/candy display cabinet from a gas station that was located on Westheimer during the 30's when Westheimer was an unpaved 2 lane road.  It is very tall and has the original glass cabinet doors still intact.  It is very solid and heavy and will hold a ton of your collectibles for all to see.  A very one-of-a-kind piece with a nice bit of Houston history to go with it!!   Come by the shop and see how amazing it looks up close.  Hope to see you there!!

KT Antiques 5614 2nd Street  Katy, Texas   281-391-2299  Click on pictures to enlarge them.
We have added a vintage 1940's to 1950's kitchen to our shop.  It has an old stove and refrigerator and it reminds me of our Granny Martin's kitchen.  Ah, what fun we used to have.
This cute vintage metal outdoor settee is perfect for enjoying your favorite spot on your patio.  The cushion is a nice outdoor fabric.
This adorable small pink chest would be perfect on your dresser as a jewelry box.  So primitive and one of a kind.  Come by the shop at KT Antiques and see what else is going on.  The shop is full of fab finds and there is something for everyone.  See you there!!

What a fabulous Urban Market we had this past weekend.  The weather was terrific and the crowds were in a buying mood.  We enjoyed meeting so many new people and loved catching up with all of our old customers.
We were fortunate to have sold the majority of our things to so many happy customers.  I suppose Gaudy Sisters will have to get in high gear and go out on the road to find a new cache of amazing items for our next sale.  We will be updating our spot at KT Antiques within the next few weeks with some of our new inventory.  Come out and see what we will come up with!!

Come and see all of the pillows Sherry has been busy creating.  They are one of a kind amazing designs and will be perfect as a gift to yourself or someone you love.  Hope to see you there at the shop or at the next Urban Market.

Our Home Sweet Home in Warrenton

The exterior may not look like much but inside is a whole different story. This is the sweet trailer Mr. T (my wonderful husband and favorite Gaudy Sister employee) bought for us to keep up at Warrenton for the Round Top show. Mr. T is insistent on bringing her home for maintanence so I have decided to spring it on him that he is going to have the pleasure of helping me paint her exterior for the fall show. I am thinking a pearlized white with pink and turquoise racing stripes! Yikes!! Stay tuned and see how she turns out.
This is the sweet interior of our 19' Tracker travel trailer. We redecorated it in true Gaudy Sister style. The walls are gold and most items are vintage (including us!!) It is the sweetest and most comfy trailer ever!!

Here is a sweet pillow that Queen Bee Sherry made for our trailer. It says "And the Gaudy Sisters lived happily everafter. CoCo Bean, too" I am working on my photograpy talents - trying to cure the fuzzy factor!!

CoCo Bean cannot believe it is already time for us to leave Warrenton. We could only stay and shop a few days this time but hope to be selling again in the Fall. We had a blast and enjoyed spending mucho bucks and visiting with all of our friends!! Check back to see all of the goodies we bought for the Urban Market and KT Antiques!!!
